• Quadrel fined nearly $300,000 for failing to provide affordable units in former condo building (evanstonroundtable.com) — Evanston has fined Quadrel Realty Group $291,000 for not providing required affordable apartments at the Hampton Parkway building in northeast Evanston under the city’s Inclusionary Housing Ordinance. The case details years of noncompliance, delayed hearings, and new fine calculations, and follows earlier tensions between Quadrel and tenants in several southeast Evanston buildings.    

• City Council set to vote on updated Emerson apartments proposal (evanstonroundtable.com) — Evanston’s City Council is set to take a final vote on a redesigned 30‑unit apartment building at 1103‑05 Emerson Street, replacing two 19th‑century structures near Ebenezer AME Church. The updated plans tweak the façade to better fit the historic church, even as staff note they still lack a full technical plan set for detailed review.
