EVANSTON, IL — Evanston Endeavor Health Hospital ranked among the top in Illinois in the new 2026-2027 Best Hospitals report from U.S. News & World Report, released Tuesday.
Endeavor Health NorthShore Hospitals ranked fourth in Illinois and fourth in the greater Chicagoland region, according to the annual report.
The U.S. News rankings are intended to help patients compare hospitals when they need care ranging from common procedures to treatment for serious or complex illnesses. The annual report is now in its 37th year. This year, U.S. News also introduced regional specialty rankings for cancer, cardiology, heart and vascular surgery, orthopedics and rehabilitation.
The Endeavor Health NorthShore Hospitals evaluation includes data from NorthShore Glenbrook Hospital, NorthShore Highland Park Hospital, NorthShore Evanston Hospital and Endeavor Health Skokie Hospital. In addition to the statewide and regional rankings, the hospitals were also ranked nationally for treatment of diabetes and prostate cancer.
According to the U.S. News ranking, Endeavor Health NorthShore Hospitals were listed as high performing in a wide range of treatment areas. Those include leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma treatment, colon cancer surgery, gynecological cancer surgery, lung cancer surgery and prostate cancer surgery.
The hospitals also received high-performing marks for diabetes treatment, geriatrics, kidney failure treatment, back surgery and stroke treatment. Maternity care, hip fracture treatment, hip and knee replacement, ear, nose and throat surgery, pneumonia treatment and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease treatment were also listed.
