Andrew Wade Named Director of Government Affairs at Metropolitan Family Services

Evanston resident Andrew (Andy) Wade has been named Director of Government Affairs for Metropolitan Family Services.

Wade is a dynamic public affairs professional with more than 15 years experience in organizational and campaign leadership, program design, advocacy, fundraising, external relations and strategic communications. An intuitive relationship-builder, he has demonstrated a proven ability to forge networks among diverse stakeholders. His qualities include an advanced capacity to assess complex situations, craft actionable strategies and build capacity to transform ideas into reality.


Most recently Wade led his own consultancy practice. Prior to that, his former positions include serving as Executive Director, Chicago Education Network; Executive Director, Chicago School Leadership Cooperative; Illinois Early Learning Campaign Manager, Ounce of Prevention; and Consultant, Gagen MacDonald, LLC.

Wade holds a bachelor’s degree in arts history from Macalester College and has pursued doctoral studies in education policy and leadership from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
