Barricade Suspect Captured on Asbury Ave.

EVANSTON, IL - One person is in custody after Evanston police were involved in a barricade situation with a gunman in the 1300 block of Asbury Avenue.
Police responded shortly after 3 p.m. and closed several nearby streets, including Asbury between Greenwood and Dempster and Dempster between Ridge and Wesley, according to Evanston Now.
Shots were reportedly exchanged between the offender and police officers.
The initial call for police was in reference to a shots fired incident in the area. While one of the suspects, apparently the one barricaded, has been captured, some police remain at the scene searching for others.
