The Big Draw Art Festival Planned for October in Evanston

EVANSTON, IL - Evanston has always been proud of its art, and an upcoming month-long festival shows just how much city dwellers take to their creative side.

The Big Draw Evanston will take place in October, with a goal to bring the community together through informal art-making.

In all, there will be 30 “art happenings” at more than 20 city sites.

“Children will enjoy en plein air drawing at the Evanston Ecology Center and sketching with loose parts at Wheel & Sprocket,” according to a news release on the festival. “Teens can celebrate the power of the arts at Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center and illustrate peace flags at Curt’s Cafe. Seniors will draw on glass plates at the Levy Senior Center. For 21+ fun, join artist Alice George at Sketchbook Brewing Co.”
