Biss Plans To Run For Comptroller in 2016
The State Senator from Evanston says state office would be "best place" for him to weigh in on fiscal debates.

Illinois State Senator Daniel Biss, D-Evanston is planning a run in 2016 to become the state’s next comptroller.
Biss made the announcement in a fundraising email to supporters on Tuesday, according to Evanston Now. He said the comptroller job “would be the best place for me to weigh in on our fiscal debates and steer us toward real solutions that don’t use our budget challenges as an excuse to punish the most vulnerable.”
Biss was elected to the state House in 2010 and to the state Senate in 2012.
