Brahms' Piano Quintet in F Minor, Opus 34, is May 7

In honor of Johannes Brahms 183rd birthday, OPUS 327 NFP presents “An Evening with Brahms” at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 939 Hinman Ave, Evanston, IL Saturday, May 7 at 7:30 PM. General admission tickets are $20 and are available at the door. Featured on the program will be Brahms’ Piano Quintet in F Minor, Opus 34 plus three Brahms’ klavierstucke. Dr. Salvatore Spina will be at the keyboard with the balance of the quintet John Robinson, Diane Duraffourg, Melissa Kirk and Walter Preucil, all members of the Lyric Opera orchestra.

Salvatore Spina has received a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Northwestern University and an Artist’s Certificate in piano from the Salzburger Mozarteum.

OPUS 327 is a 501c3 not for profit dedicated to the preservation of one of the few E.M. Skinner organs maintained in close to its original condition and it’s perfectly matched acoustical space.
