Cafe Opening in Evanston Uses Profits to Feed Homeless
First Slice Pie Cafe will be up and running inside the Gibbs-Morrison Cultural Center by mid-March.

EVANSTON, IL - A cafe opening inside the city’s Gibbs-Morrison Cultural Center in March will use part of its funds and resources to feed the homeless.
First Slice Pie Cafe, already with three operating cafes in Chicago, prepares 600 or so meals for the homeless or those in need of food every week, according to the Daily Northwestern. The cafe uses its profits to help support outreach programs and will expand to the suburbs for the first time with the Church Street location.
The meals are distributed by organizations the cafe partners with.
