St James Armenian Church-Evanston is proud to once again host the Evanston Taste of Armenia Festival. Over the years, the largest Armenian event in the area has become a favorite end-of-summer event for Chicagoans of all ethnic backgrounds. The festival offers a leisurely sunny afternoon of delicious Armenian cooking, rousing music, and great company. The Taste of Armenia Festival serves up charcoal-grilled kebabs and homemade specialties, including our special "Jigalov Hatz!" Few can resist the bountiful table of our grandmas' authentic pastries. Live music for line dancing all afternoon by the MID-EAST BEAT!. Coming your way is Happy Lobster! We’re bringing some of the freshest lobster rolls + other delights to you on Wednesday, August 19th, so don't miss out.
The delicious lobster-focused menu has the city’s favorite lobster roll, of course. Order it traditional or spicy! Add on some crab cakes, clam chowder, and dessert!
Make sure to order by 10am on Wednesday. Your order will be available for home delivery from 2:30-6:00pm.

The iconic and delicious Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder is headed to you on Friday, August 21st!
Chicago might have its deep dish pizza, but there’s another hometown creation that’s just as hearty and delicious, and quite possibly even cheesier: the Pizza Pot Pie. Created in 1972 at Chicago Pizza &amp; Oven Grinder, located just across the street from the location of the infamous St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, this ooey-gooey masterpiece just might deliver the most legendary cheese pull in all of Chi-town!
This ingenious creation starts with scratchmade triple-raised Sicilian bread dough. It’s filled with rich homemade tomato sauce that’s slow-simmered with olive oil, fresh garlic, onions, green peppers, and whole plum tomatoes. And finally, cheese – and lots of it! Baked upside-down and served right-side-up, it’s a pizza like no other — comforting, indulgent, and uniquely Chicago.

Note that pizzas will be PAR BAKED with Pequod’s world-famous caramelized crust.
