Candace D'Agnolo of Dogaholics Trains Petpreneurs The Tricks and Treats of Success
From Successful Retailer to Pet Business Consultant Candace D'Agnolo of Dogaholics Trains Petpreneurs The Tricks and Treats of Success
Chicago, IL –Did you know half of new businesses fail? The risk could be even greater for passionate “petpreneurs” who love the job of working with our furry loved ones but may lack the business background to lead a profitable business. Pet industry veteran Candace D’Agnolo, founder of Dogaholics, Inc. has launched a business-consulting portion of Dogaholics to help pet business owners go from working like a dog to living the “alpha dog” life.
Candace started Dogaholics as a retail store and has since become all things dog… connecting pet parents all over the world. Recently, Candace sold her Chicago retail store to national chain Bentley’s Pet Stuff but still oversees the Dogaholics daycare, grooming and training business. Following her own passion of the motto shop local, Candace is now taking the lead to help other “petpreneurs.” According to Candace, every city sees pet businesses downsize, move or close due to common business mistakes. Because of the “tricks” she put into place in her own business, she was able to sell her brick and mortar retail location of Dogaholics for a profit, and is now teaching entrepreneurs how to have their own financial successes.
According to the Small Business Administration (SBA), small businesses make up 99.7% of all US employer firms. One third of all of those small businesses will fail within the first two years, then only 50% of them make it to year five, and only one third of those will make it to year ten. Being an entrepreneur is not easy, but it is the best way to creating freedom in ones life, even if the odds are against them.

“Petpreneurs start their businesses because they are passionate about pets, but the unfortunate reality is that it’s not about playing with dogs all day and it’s more like working like a dog. To go from six figures to seven figures, you need more than just passion. You need support. When people work with me, they put more of their money in their own pockets and embrace the freedom they have to live they life they really want,” said Candace D’Agnolo. She warns that pet businesses need to be prepared whether it is preparing for the next canine flu or guarding your trademark, pet businesses need an action plan.
Entrepreneurs from retailers, veterinarians, dog walkers, pet sitters, doggy daycare providers, groomers and product manufacturers can learn the systems and techniques Candace put into place to go from struggle and overwhelm in the early years to running a seven figure business 10 years later.

She provides tailored support through either one-on-one strategy sessions like “Unleash It”, “Retailer Rehab” and “The Furry Fix”, to a year long “12 Step” program for private clients which include phone, in-person, digital and virtual interaction.
Candace has the road-map and support to help pet business owners succeed fast with less headaches than doing it alone. Coaching and mentoring is one of the most effective investments you can make in your business to create remarkable results in a short period of time.
