About Chef Dominique Tougne/Chez Moi Restaurant

Chez Moi is a classic French bistro that evokes joie de vivre! A native of Alsace, owner/chef Dominique Tougne trained in culinary school outside Paris and cooked with French culinary greats Jacques Senechal and Joel Robuchon, before being recruited to Bistro 110. In 2012, he created Chez Moi to feel like an extension of his home, chez moi meaning “my place” – authentic food, personal service and relaxed atmosphere – partnering with former Blackhawks player and fellow Frenchman, Cristobal Huet.

Located at 2100 N. Halsted Street in the heart of Lincoln Park, Chez Moi’s authentic bistro menu features such classics as onion soup, foie gras, steak frites and crème brulee, as well as signature dishes cassoulet, escargot, and vegetable tagine, favorites at his grand-mère’s Bordeaux restaurant. In addition, the restaurant offers weekend brunch, “menu enfants” for children, and dining al fresco on the Terrace (seasonal). The full bar features an extensive selection of French wines, cocktails, beers and aperitifs.

Accolades include being named one of Chicago magazine’s Best New Restaurants in 2013, and one of the city’s Best French Restaurants by CBS Chicago in April 2014. For more information, visit www.chezmoichicago.com.
