'Chicago Fire' Will Film in Evanston This Week

Crews from popular NBC drama series will line Forest Place Wednesday and Thursday.

EVANSTON, IL - The hit NBC drama “Chicago Fire” will make its way to Evanston for a couple of days this week.

The television show plans to film scenes in the 1600 block of Forest Place on Wednesday, Feb. 17 and Thursday, Feb. 18.

The city of Evanston reports traffic changes that will be put in place due to the filming, such as the full closure of Forest Place between Davis and Church streets from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days and intermittent closures on Church between Forest and Judson Avenue from 7-9 a.m. on Wednesday.

Traffic detours will be in place, rerouting southbound traffic via Clark Street to Chicago Avenue, and northbound traffic via Davis Street to Judson Avenue.

No filming will take place overnight, but production trucks will remain parked in the area.

“Chicago Fire” is one of a handful of first responder shows filmed in Chicago and its surrounding suburbs. It airs every Tuesday at 9 p.m.
