Chicago's North Shore 2018 Tourism Luncheon

National Travel and Tourism Week is right around the corner (May 6th through May 12th).

National Travel and Tourism Week is right around the corner (May 6th through May 12th). To kick things off, Chicago’s North Shore Convention and Visitors Bureau (CNSCVB) will be hosting a luncheon on Thursday, May 3rd at The Crystal Ballroom in Evanston to celebrate the men and women who bring the North Shore’s travel and tourism industry to life.

Tourism is very important to the economic vitality of Chicago’s North Shore. Visitor dollars help support hotels, restaurants, retailers and attractions, and the taxes that result from these expenditures are crucial in funding economic development throughout the North Shore. One in every 10 jobs is in the hospitality industry!

This year’s luncheon chairperson is Holly Allgauer, General Manager of the Hilton Northbrook, and Casey Benn, Senior Sales Executive with TripAdvisor, will be the keynote speaker, discussing important trends in travel. In addition, the CNSCVB will be sharing information and stats from their annual report about travel and tourism within the North Shore region.
