Christmas 2018: Holiday Hours, Closures In Evanston
What's open, what's closed, and what's got special holiday hours from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day in Evanston this year.

EVANSTON, IL — The home stretch of the holiday season has arrived, with one more weekend to get ready to kick off the final week of 2018 with Christmas Eve on Monday. North Shore communities are making preparations to observe both the Christmas and New Year's holidays.
Last-minute shoppers will be out picking up presents and ingredients for holiday meals, travelers will be on the roads and in the air to meet family and friends for the festive period and most students will be enjoying their winter break through the start of 2019.
First responders and employees at some businesses will be working on Christmas and New Year's, but many area employers will be closed to give workers a chance to gather to share the holiday with loved ones.
