Aldermen set to approve work for more than $600,000 at next meeting.

The scope of the project to improve the Church Street power boat ramp in Evanston is being scaled back by the city as bids to complete the work came in higher than expected.

The revised project will include extending and repairing the existing concrete ramp and providing a new floating dock and modifying the existing south pier, according to Evanston Now. The matter will be up for discussion during Monday night’s City Council meeting, when aldermen are scheduled to approve a proposed contract for $613,027 from Kovalic Construction Co. Inc. .
