New Divvy Bike Share program will begin in the spring.

Submitted by the City of Evanston

The City of Evanston has announced exciting partnership and sponsorship opportunities for local businesses and organizations interested in supporting the City’s coming Divvy Bike Share program.

In spring 2015, Evanston will launch its Divvy Bike Share program, providing community members and visitors with access to an easy, healthy and affordable transportation option that can connect them on their last mile of travel or on quick trips around town. The program complements the City’s livability goals of “healthy citizens and a healthier environment for all of Evanston.”

In order to make the program as successful as possible, the City invites businesses and organizations to become Evanston Divvy Bike Share partners and sponsors. Their financial support will lead to improved bike-related resources and amenities, including a robust bike awareness and education campaign, as well as the potential for more Evanston Divvy stations beyond the City’s eight yet-to-be-decided locations.

The City has designated different partnership and sponsorship levels, including Sustaining Partner, Permanent Station Sponsor, Adopt-a-Station Sponsor, and Community Partner. Opportunities have one- to three-year commitments, with donation amounts ranging from $1,000 to $25,000 annually. In addition to the branding and marketing benefits they’ll receive, partners and sponsors will have their support recognized in a variety of ways. Most partnership and sponsorship opportunities also include group Divvy discounts and memberships.

Four levels of Corporate and Hotel Memberships are also available. These memberships will provide easy access to the bike share program for employees or visitors through the purchase of 24-hour passes in bulk or by providing a discount for annual memberships.
