City Manager To Oversee Evanston Animal Shelter
Shift from police department to come as city partners with Evanston Animal Shelter Association.
Oversight of the Evanston Animal Shelter will shift from the Police Department to the City Manager’s office, City Manager Wally Bobkiewicz announced Tuesday.
The change will be effective on June 1, when the city’s new partnership with the Evanston Animal Shelter Association for operating the animal shelter begins.
Community Engagement Specialist Charliese Agnew will be coordinating this transition, Bobkiewicz said as part of a city memo announcing planning efforts for 2016.
