Construction on Clark Street Bird Sanctuary Begins This Week

Improvements such as new fencing and landscaping to create a sanctuary for migratory birds at Clark Street Beach are beginning this week.

Landscaping and construction on the Northwestern University-funded project began September 8, with an anticipated construction completion date of late October.

There will be no impact to traffic on Sheridan Road. Construction may create some inconvenience to park and path users. During the course of construction, a portion of Clark Street Beach will be closed to the public.
