Construction on New Ladd Arboretum Path Begins Next Week
Path will be closed as a larger, more accessible one, is made.
Construction on the improvements at the Ladd Arboretum will begin the week of Tuesday, September 8.
As part of the project, a new eight-foot-wide asphalt pathway with year-round ADA accessibility to pedestrians, cyclists and wheelchair users will be added. The path will be closed to the public during construction, which is scheduled to conclude in October.
The project is funded through the Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program and General Obligation Bond Funds.
