On Friday, October 30, Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle announced her endorsement of Judge Jerry Esrig in his bid for judge in Cook County’s 9th Judicial Subcircuit. Judge Esrig currently serves as a Circuit Court Judge, having been appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court on October 4, 2013, and then reappointed to a term which began on January 30, 2015. The Illinois General Primary Election takes place on Tuesday, March 15, 2016.
In her endorsement of Judge Esrig, Preckwinkle stated, “Judge Jerry Esrig is an exceptional candidate for judge, not only because of his experience and vast knowledge of the law, but because he embodies the traits we hope we have in all of our judges – patience, compassion, humanity and civility.”

The firm once again became known as Zaideman & Esrig, P.C. in 1999 when partner Jim Epstein was appointed and then elected to the bench.
Judge Esrig earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Northwestern University and a law degree from the University of Chicago School of Law. He was an adjunct faculty member at Northwestern University Law School and also taught for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.
