Cops Taze Unruly Man at Evanston Apartment

EVANSTON, IL - Evanston police had to use a Taser an an unruly man at the Claridge Apartments on Dempster Street Tuesday morning.

Police showed up at the complex in the 300 block of Dempster Street at 9:25 a.m., when they found the 25-year-old behaving erratically, according to Evanston Now. He was off his medications.

While awaiting the arrival of an ambulance to take him to the hospital, the man became combative and pushed one officer in the chest. The altercation resulted in the use of the Taser and two officers suffering minor injuries.

The man, who has not been charged, was taken to Evanston Hospital for an evaluation.
