Crack, Gun Found on Man Asleep at the Wheel in Evanston: Cops
Police say they found a loaded revolver and eight grams of crack in a car operated by Marcus James on Chicago Avenue.

EVANSTON, IL - A Calumet City man who was found asleep behind the wheel of a car on Chicago Avenue in Evanston Tuesday morning was possessing eight grams of crack cocaine and a loaded Taurus .357 caliber revolver at the time of his arrest, according to police.
Officers first noticed Marcus James, 25 asleep behind the wheel of a car parked in the southbound lanes of the 1800 block of Chicago Avenue around 6:30 a.m.
He appeared to be intoxicated, police said, and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

James was also charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver after police say a search of his vehicle revealed a clear plastic baggie on the driver's side floorboard containing eight grams of crack cocaine and the weapon found in the trunk.
