Democratic Party of Evanston Website Still Down After Hack

EVANSTON, IL - The website for the Democratic Party of Evanston remains down more than a week after it was hacked.

A party committeeman told Evanston Now the incident occurred over the holidays. The person responsible for the hacking left behind web pages to make it appear the hack was associated with a radical Islamic group, Evanston Now reported.

A check early Tuesday to the same web address hacked more than a week ago indicates “account suspended.”

A call to the party’s headquarters Tuesday morning went unanswered.
