EVANSTON, IL — The first day of classes at District 65 schools is Aug. 26 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Evanston/Skokie School District 65 has approved the full 2019-20 calendar, which is available online in a printable format.

The calendar includes important dates, such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Note: "School Improvement Days" include early dismissal for students and a full day for teachers. Students at magnet schools are released at 11 a.m., students at middle schools are released at 11:30 a.m., Park School lets out at noon and elementary school students are dismissed at 12:05 p.m.
