The board said it is seeking “a generational leader” for District 65. That person should build on the district’s strengths, advance academic excellence and outcomes for every student, and provide financial management, organizational leadership, stability and consensus-building.

The next superintendent must understand District 65 and the role the person would be stepping into. The board said that while the final decision belongs to board members, the process should reflect “the voices, experiences, and priorities from all facets of our community.”
