Come and meet Fernando Llort, one of El Salvador’s best

known artists.  His work has been

exhibited in the United States, Canada, Japan, Germany, France, Spain, Mexico, Ecuador and elsewhere in

Central and South America.  His art has

beautified some important sites in San Salvador, the nation’s capital, such as

the

Hotel

Camino Real, a chapel dedicated to the 1989 Jesuit martyrs, and the entrance to

the San Salvador Cathedral at the city’s heart.

Llort

has also begun over 100 workshops for people with no art training, enabling

them to produce works for sale.  His “Foundation

for the Advancement of Art and Culture” furthers these and other social

endeavors.  Fernando will be accompanied

by family members who manage this Foundation and market his art.  Crafts from him and his workshops, including

many items for daily use at affordable prices, will be available for purchase.
