EPD Commander Graduates From FBI National Academy
Joseph Dugan was one of just hundreds worldwide to complete the 10-week Academy in Virginia this year.

Evanston Police Commander Joseph Dugan was one of 230 law enforcement officials worldwide to graduate last week from the FBI’s National Academy Program.
According to an Evanston police news release, Dugan underwent ten weeks of “advanced communication, leadership, and fitness training for selected officers having proven records as professionals within their agencies,” at the Academy, held in Virginia.
Law enforcement officers from 47 states and overseas joined Dugan - an 18-year veteran of the Evanston Police Department - in the 263rd session of the Academy

Previous graduates of the Academy from the Evanston Police Department include Chief of Police Richard Eddington, Deputy Chief Jay Parrott and Commander Dan Russell.
