Epic Burger to Open in Evanston

Newest spot for a burger in town will be just blocks from Northwestern.

EVANSTON, IL - Epic Burger, the popular Chicago burger chain, will open its eighth Chicagoland location in Evanston come January. It will occupy a 2,440 square-foot space at 1622 Sherman Ave. downtown.

“We are extremely excited to bring Epic Burger to Evanston,” said Scott Norrick, Epic Burger’s CEO and alumnus of Northwestern University. “The combination of a great residential community, an active downtown retail environment, a healthy office market and one of the world’s great universities makes Evanston a perfect fit for Epic Burger.”

Burgers here feature “humanely-raised beef free from hormones or antibiotics and topped with all-natural ingredients,” according to a news release, which also listed portobello sandwiches, hand-cut fries and shakes made with natural ice cream and organic milk as other “mindful” menu items.
