Epic Burger Wants to Open in Evanston
If special use permit is granted, fast food chain will operate at Sherman Plaza.

Fast food chain Epic Burger has plans to open their next Chicago-area outlet at the former Luluemon Athletica site at Sherman Plaza, Evanston Now reports.
The chain will seek a special use permit through the Zoning Board of Appeals, and then the City Council if it gets that far, for 1622 Sherman Ave.
Epic Burger says it emphasizes using only humanely-raised, all-natural beef with no hormones or antibiotics and what it calls “tomatoes with taste” and “packaging made from plants.”

“The storefront next to the plaza parking garage entrance on Sherman has had a troubled retail history,” Evanston Now’s Bill Smith points out. It has housed an all-day breakfast food concept and clothing store since opening in 2006.
