ETHS Board Candidate Gets Large Donation
Monique Parsons gets more than $1,000 from Lewis-Sebring chairman.
The only Evanston Township High School board of education candidate to report a donation of $1,000 or more was Monique Parsons, according to Evanston Now.
Parsons, chief operating officer at the McGraw YMCA, received the donation from Charles Lewis of 2735 Sheridan Road. Lewis is chairman of the Lewis-Sebring Family Foundation, which donated more than $1 million to fund the new MetaMedia Center at the McGaw Y that opened last month.
A second donation of $1,000 or more was also reported by Parsons’ campaign, but information obtained by Evanston Now indicated that was a bookkeeping error.
