On October 28, Evanston Township High School will hold its Fall Band and Orchestra Music Festival with music ranging from the classics to the movies. The concert, free and open to the public, begins at 7 p.m. in the ETHS Auditorium.
Three bands will take the stage. The Freshman Concert Band will play contemporary works including Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition.” The Fall Symphonic Band will feature “Fantasy Adventure at the Movies,” among other works. And the Wildkit Marching Band will also go to the movies with theme songs from James Bond films, Libertango, and Mission Impossible.
Classical music rounds out the festival when the String Orchestra plays works by De Boismortier, Handel, and “The Firebird Suite” finale by Stravinsky. The Symphony Orchestra Strings will feature pieces by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, and Brahms, as well as the movie theme from “Schindler’s List.”

ETHS is located at 1600 Dodge Ave. The Auditorium is handicapped accessible, and parking is available in the lot on Dodge Ave., directly across from the Auditorium entrance.
