ETHS Students Walk Out of Class to Protest Donald Trump

Students marched through Evanston and gathered at Fountain Square Tuesday to voice their displeasure with the president.

EVANSTON, IL - Some students at Evanston Township High School walked out of class on Tuesday to protest the presidency of Donald Trump.

The students walked out of class during the early afternoon hours and held a rally at Fountain Square, according to an Evanston Now report. Various students spoke publicly during the rally at Fountain Square that preceded a march through several downtown Evanston streets.

Police closed several streets during the march including Lake Street, Ridge Avenue and Asbury Avenue.

The Evanston Police Department reported on Twitter at 2:35 p.m. that all student have safely returned to ETHS.
