In our 4 C's: The Basics, we discuss how to improve your association by focusing on Community, Communications, Consistency, and Collections. In other words - the 4 Cs! Our workshop is intended for all, but is especially useful for prospective buyers, new unit owners, and people who are not familiar with how a condo association operates.
A best practices workshop for unit owners and board members seeking to improve their community. At this workshop, participants will learn about:
- Community association governing documents and what they are used for
- Basics of board operations
- Establishing a sense of community
- Fair housing
- Collections, budgeting, and reserves
- Working with a property manager
- And much more!
Each participant will receive a comprehensive training manual, which includes the Illinois Condominium Property Act, a list of resource organizations for community associations, and a set of standard documents and forms needed by self-managed community associations. This workshop will improve understanding of how to be a better director and have a stronger association. It will help save associations time, money and frustration.
