A basic principle of Jung's psychology is that behind the personality lies the deeper intent of the Self, which may or may not be consciously realized. In some of Jung's letters he makes it clear that Astrology can be an important aid in discovering what that intent might be, the obstacles that might obstruct its realization, and the inherent potentials that could facilitate it. Jung's psychological views can contribute to a deeper understanding of the meaning and value of Astrology. Through that lens, this class is structured to provide a basic understanding of Signs, Planets, and Houses and their application in Astrology. There will be some discussion of the evolutionary intent inherent in Astrology as pertaining to the journey of the Soul’s incarnation.
