"Love Free or Die" Documentary Being Shown at St. Luke's

Macky Alston's documentary film, "Love Free or Die" examines the life and influence of Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson. It is a probing, even-handed account of his experience as the first openly gay, non-celibate bishop ordained in a major Christian denomination. The documentary received an award at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.

This engrossing film follows Robinson from small-town churches in New Hampshire to Washington's Lincoln Memorial to London's Lambeth Palace to the 2009 Episcopal Convention in Anaheim, California, as he calls for all to stand for equality - inspiring bishops, priests and ordinary folk to come out from the shadows and change history.

The film will be followed by a brief discussion.
