Evanston , Il . Lake Street Church of Evanston invites the public to join a time of celebration and song at the beginning of Lent. Join us for a Mardi Gras Jazz Service, Sunday, February 19th, at 10:30 AM. Featured musicians include The Lake Street Rhythm Kings, with John Blegan on clarinet; Greg Studebaker, cornet; Tom Bartlett, trombone; Don Stiernberg, banjo; John Tuck, bass and Bob Leopold, on drums. Come dance down the aisle to Bourbon Street Parade, join in singing When You’re Smiling, and take time to meditate to the soothing strains of Just a Closer Walk With Thee. This is a family affair so bring your friends and neighbors to help us lift the rafters.
