On Tuesday, Oct. 2nd at 7 PM, The Book Stall at Chestnut Court is pleased to bring acclaimed young adult author Maggie Steifvater to The Evanston Public Library (1703 Orrington Avenue in Evanston) for reading and book-signing. Ms. Stiefvater is the author of the Shiver trilogy, and The Scorpio Races, among others, and her new novel, Raven Boys, has gotten a huge amount of pre-publication buzz. Booklist says, “Reading this novel is like walking through a tangled thicket and coming across one unexpected and wonderful surprise after another…Rich, too, in characterization, this fantasy-mystery rises to the level of serious literature, leaving readers hungering for more.” This event is free and open to the public, but registration is requested, as space is limited.
