Evanston Had Cook County’s 2nd Highest Voter Turnout in November Election
More than 80 percent of registered voters in Evanston Township hit the polls in November. Only one township had a higher turnout.

EVANSTON, IL - Voters in Evanston Township turned out for the November election is high numbers, but even topping 80 percent wasn’t enough to be dubbed the Cook County township with the highest turnout.
Oak Park Township had an 83.4 percent turnout, according to a report from the Oak Leaves. Evanston Township was second in the county with 80.4 percent.
Evanston and Oak Park has something else in common. They both voted overwhelmingly for Hillary Clinton in the presidential election.

In that area, it was Evanston coming out on top. Evanston Township supported Clinton with an 88.4 percent tally. In Oak Park, Clinton received 85.6 percent of the vote.
