Evanston To Host Attorney General Candidate Forum
8 people vying to be Illinois' next attorney general say they will attend Sunday's event.

EVANSTON, IL — Eight candidates to replace Attorney General Lisa Madigan are set to appear at a forum Sunday in Evanston. The National Organization for Women and Action for a Better Tomorrow are co-sponsoring the event, which is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church.
The forum's goal is to help voters decide who should "safeguard Illinois residents’ civil and consumer rights, enforce laws that protect our environment, help put an end to sexual assault and domestic violence, and root out corruption in our state government," according to organizers.
The forum will be moderated by Veronica Arreola, the director of the University of Illinois at Chicago's Latin@s Gaining Access to Networks for Advancement in Science and a freelance communications specialist who describes herself as a "professional feminist."
