Evanston IDs Problem Properties

Eleven city residences associated with violent crime have been identified by city officials.

City of Evanston officials identified a batch of properties on Monday which have been associated with violent crime and public nuisance.

“Dangerous and disruptive behavior as well as other criminal activity contributes to an enhanced sense of fear, and intimidation, and prevents residents from the peaceful enjoyment of their neighborhood,” according to a city news release.

As a response, the city will increase enforcement efforts from the Evanston Police, and Fire Departments and Property Standards Division at the 11 properties listed here.
