Evanston Lawn Care Company Sells Maintenance Division

From Logic Lawn Care: As of 2018, Evanston-based Logic Lawn Care, Chicagoland’s leader in natural lawn care services, will focus solely on its core expertise, including organic fertilization, natural weed control applications, aeration, seeding, and natural mosquito control services. Logic Lawn Care sold its weekly maintenance division, which handles mowing, pruning, mulching, and planting services as well as spring and fall clean ups, to Nature’s Perspective Landscaping, a full-service landscaping design, installation, and maintenance firm headquartered in Evanston, IL.

“We are excited to bring the Logic Lawn Care customers into our family. We take great pride in our services and sustainable practices and look forward to working with them,” says Tom Klitzkie, co-owner of Nature’s Perspective Landscaping. Tom and co-owner Barb Schwarz founded the company in 1979.

The sale gives Logic Lawn Care time to expand its customer base. “We are now increasing our working relationships with school districts, park districts, and municipalities as well as our homeowner customer base,” says Steve Neumann, owner of Logic Lawn Care. “Our goal is to create more turf areas in the Chicagoland area that are chemical free.”

In 2016, Logic Lawn Care won an award through the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association for its work at the Skokie Village Hall and The Village Green. The turf at these locations has been chemical free for seven years now. In November 2017, Logic Lawn Care will speak to managers of turf at the Midwest Pesticide Action Center (MPAC) pesticide conference, where attendees will learn about advancements in and benefits of natural lawn care. During the January 2018 Illinois Association Park District (IAPD) annual conference, Logic Lawn Care will participate in the workshop Natural Lawn Care: The Approach, Policies, Costs and Implementation Steps for Healthy Parks.
