PEER Services provides community-based substance use prevention and treatment services to teens, adults and families in Northern Cook County, including Evanston, Maine, New Trier, Niles and Northfield Townships, and the north side of Chicago. PEER Services reduces the harms of substance use, addiction and stigma by engaging youth and adults with innovative prevention programming and by supporting people on their path to recovery through holistic, evidence-based treatment. James, 34 was <a href="http://abc7chicago.com/news/2-men-charged-in-hawthorne-race-course-shooting/1464541/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon in connection with the shooting that wounded two women</a> at the Belize Festival just outside of the racecourse around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to an ABC-7 report. Dennis D. Reneau, 38, of Ames, Iowa was also charged as police in Stickney determined two separate shootings took place outside the event. Initial reports indicated <a href="https://patch.com/illinois/chicago/shooting-reported-hawthorne-racecourse" target="_blank" rel="noopener">several shots were fired outside the racecourse, sending spectators spilling out</a> onto the course. The two victims suffered non life-threatening injuries and are not believed to have been the intended targets, according to ABC.
