Evanston Man Charged in West Ridge Home Burglaries
The 18-year-old was caught in the act by Chicago Police early on Christmas Eve.

CHICAGO, IL - An Evanston man was caught trying to enter the window of a home in Chicago’s West Ridge neighborhood early in the morning on Christmas Eve, according to police.
Alston Rodriguez, 18, of the 1700 block of W. Dobson, was charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of attempted burglary and one count of resisting/obstructing a police officer around 1 a.m. after officers observed him trying to enter a home in the 2100 block of W. Rosemont in Chicago.
Rodriguez is also suspected of multiple other residential burglaries in the area as police recovered items - including several Christmas gifts - reported stolen.
