Evanston Man Wins Chicago Triathlon

Jeremy Rielley bested more than 2,000 other athletes in the August race.

Jeremy Rielley, a five-year veteran of the race, was ā€œecstaticā€ over his August 30 win, according to Evanston Now. Rielley teaches physical education at Dawes and Orrington elementary schools and coaches soccer at Evanston Township High School.

ā€œI have achieved what I have put so much sweat and hard work into,ā€ he said.

Rielley beat out 2,637 other athletes with a time of 2:00.57 on a course that included a 1.5K swim, 40K bike and 10K run, 51.5 kilometers total.

ā€œI am so proud of all that Jeremy has accomplished. He is an incredible athlete and a terrific educator,ā€ said Paul Goren, superintendent of Evanston/Skokie School District 65.
