Evanston May Limit Number of Pedicabs In Use
If aldermen approve, limit in city would be set at 10.

The city of Evanston could limit the number of pedicabs used in the city to 10 if an ordinance set to be considered by aldermen Monday night is adopted.
The proposal here, Evanston Now reports, comes a year after a similar measure adopted in Chicago which reduced the number allotted there to 200.
“The Evanston ordinance would require pedicab drivers to pay $25 a year for a pedicab chauffeur’s license and owners of the cabs to pay $150 a year to license the vehicles,” according to the Evanston Now article.
