Evanston Mayor Bets Northwestern Will Win Outback Bowl

A batch of Tennessee whiskey and some of Evanston's "Few Spirits" are on the line as the Wildcats and Volunteers battle on New Year's Day.

EVANSTON, IL - Evanston Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl, always a proud Northwestern Wildcats football supporter, made a friendly wager this week with the mayor of one of the best college towns in the south over the outcome of the Outback Bowl.

The Wildcats play the University of Tennessee on New Year’s Day in the Outback Bowl in Tampa, Fla. If the Cats win, Tisdahl will receive Knox Whiskey Works’, widely known as Tennessee’s finest whiskey.
