Evanston Named a Top 'Tech Savvy' City
Evanston is the only Midwest city to earn the Public Technology Institute's "Tech Savvy" designation. Only six were honored nationwide.
EVANSTON, IL - The city of Evanston is as tech savvy as they come.
That's why the city was one of only six local governments in the nation to receive this year's Public Technology Institute "Tech Savvy" designation. Evanston joins Durham County, North Carolina; Mesa, Arizona; Montgomery County, Maryland; Pinellas County, Florida; and Sacramento County, California as communities to win the award, which recognizes local governments that use technology to address issues, current challenges and future opportunities across the enterprise.
"This is a well-deserved recognition for all your efforts, over the years, to be a first class local government and to create technology programs that serve your constituents internally and externally," PTI Deputy Executive Director for Research and Government Services Ronda Mosley said.
