Evanston Omitted From Livability's Top 10 College Town List
More important decision looming is on college athletes ability to unionize, writer says.
Chicago Business Journal’s Lewis Lazare guess is that Northwestern University officials are not “going to fret” about the city of Evanston’s omission on Livability.com’s 2015 list of top 10 college towns in America.
“They are intently focused at the moment on a decision on college football players unionizing that is expected to be handed down any minute from the National Labor Relations Board in Washington, D.C.,” Lazare wrote, stressing the upcoming decision is on everyone’s sports radar.
Manhattan, Kansas and Durham, North Carolina were the top rated cities on the list, which considered a high population of 25-to-29-year-old residents as part of the criteria.
