Evanston Patch Honors 2020 Class Of Local High School Graduates
This is the second installment of a salute to this year's historic high school class. Find out where some recent grads are headed next year.

EVANSTON, IL — Evanston Patch is sharing the achievements of local high school graduates by putting them in the spotlight this month. Due to the coronavirus, in-person classroom teaching and extracurricular gatherings have been canceled for the rest of the 2019-2020 school year in Illinois.
We know these wonderful seniors have missed out on many of the traditional final moments of the school year, and we hope to give the community a way to share their pride in our class of 2020 high school graduates.
Patch congratulates the entire class of 2020. Here are some of the graduating high school seniors from this year's historic class:

Ambrea Gentle, Evanston Township High School
Gentle, who received a full basketball scholarship to Southeast Missouri State University where she plans to study engineering, enjoys math, singing, dancing and making social media videos, according to her family.

Message from family: "All your years of hard work blood sweat and tears have paid off. I'm so proud of the woman that you have become congratulations! Continue to be the great person God made you to be. Love mom."
Mia Rehwaldt, Evanston Township High School
Rehwaldt, who took part in theater and acting during high school, plans to major in acting at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

Message from family: "Mia, we’re so proud of what you’ve done during these best four years of your life so far. You had a vision and refined and focused it at ETHS. We know you'll miss ETHS theatre but you’re so ready for the next step!"
Chyne Temple, Evanston Township High School
Temple, a member of the ETHS honor roll and volleyball team, plans to study engineering at Illinois State University, according to his family.
Messages from family: "Chyne, we are so proud of you. You have made parenting you fun and easy. We wish you the very best on your next venture, we pray that you have a wonder experience in college and you are successful in getting your degree. We love you! Keep up the good work," "Congratulations Chyne Temple! I'm so proud of you and sadden that your dedication and hard work is not being traditionally celebrated but I celebrate you and all of your wonderful accomplishments. They say you're supposed to exceed your parents, four years on the honor roll, you sure did top me! I salute you Chyne, take a bow. You did that! Love you, Dad"
Grace Whiteside, Evanston Township High School
Whiteside intends to study zoology at the University of Guelph in Guelph in Ontario, Canada, according to her family.

Message from family: "Congratulations on all of your achievements on the road to here! I wish you the very best in your college experience and in your life, always! I could not be more proud of the young woman you have become."
Milo Johnson, Evanston Township High School
Johnson, who was leader of the trumpet section of the Marching Wildkits for two years and a member of the wind symphony, jazz band and jazz combo, as well as a trumpet mentor at Chute Junior High, according to his family. He has been admitted to the trumpet studio in music education at Illinois State University.
Message from family: "Milo picked up trumpet just before high school. Through love and determination he has grown his knowledge and ability across multiple instruments. We are so excited to see him take the next step toward passing that love and knowledge on to future students."
Sooliat Bakare, Roycemore School
Bakare, who plans to pursue pre-medical studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, plays soccer and volleyball and is an advocate for sustainability, according to her family.

Message from family: "It's time to go forth into the world and pursue your dreams. This is a milestone in your life and on this very important occasion, I wish you the very best of all life has to offer. I am so proud of you, Congratulations!!"
Michael and Olivia Levitas, Evanston Township High School
Michael, who plans to attend George Washington University, was on the ETHS golf and lacrosse teams, and Olivia, who plans to attend the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, was on the badminton team, according to their family.

Message from family: "Michael and Olivia - we are very proud of both of you. You excelled in academics at ETHS and you are both kind, caring people. We are looking forward to the next chapter for you both. Congratulations on your graduation. Love Mom and Dad"
Nia Himrod, Evanston Township High School
Himrod, who plans to attend Texas Southern University, was an ETHS cheerleader and choir member, according to her family.

Message from family: "Nia your entire family is extremely proud of you. We have watched you mature into a smart, intelligent, beautiful young lady. You have face a lot of adversities in your life, but you came through like a pro. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you. You have worked very hard to get her. When I see the smile on your face, I am proud to be a part of who you are. Continue to be true to yourself and you will be blessed. This might not look the way you want d it to look, but you are an overcomer and good things are around the corner for you. Congratulations to you our 2020 High School Graduate."
