Evanston Police Sgt. Graduates From SPSC At Northwestern

Jody Wright was one of 38 students at the 10-week course.

Evanston Police Department Sergeant Jody Wright has graduated from the School of Police Staff and Command (SPSC) at Northwestern University, successfully completing the ten week program.

Wright was a student in SPSC Class 371 which accommodated a total of 38 students for the ten week period. The class provides upper-level college instruction in a total of 27 core blocks of instruction and additional optional blocks during each session. Major topics of study include: Leadership, Human Resources, Employee Relations, Organizational Behavior, Applied Statistics, Planning and Policy Development, Budgeting and Resource Allocation.

The Evanston Police Department anticipates “a variety of benefits” from Wright’s participation. “Many of the program’s graduates do go on to achieve a variety of leadership positions within their respective agencies,” according to a news release.
